> Supporting Your Child

Our experienced Support Workers can work with your child to help promote independence, build confidence and enjoy social and leisure activities, either at home, in the community or at an existing activity club/venue.

Activity Based  A child may benefit from assistance to attend swimming lessons, sports clubs, youth clubs, Cubs, Brownies, after school clubs.  A suitable worker can attend the session with your child, reducing anxiety, overcoming barriers, supporting them to make friends, teaching social skills and working alongside the activity leader to help them understand the needs of your child.  This type of support can be particularly beneficial if your child has a disability, additional need or behavioural issue, is anxious or has maybe had a previous bad experience, such as being bullied.

Community Based  FAST Support Workers can work one-to-one with your child out in the community, to access community amenities, such as parks, leisure centres, shops etc. 

During the activity we can work with your child to teach them life skills, such as how to use money or public transport, including how to keep safe, road safety, stranger awareness etc.  This work can be done as part of transition from primary to secondary school, giving the child independence while maintaining peace of mind for parents and carers.

All of our prices are inclusive of mileage and staff expenses (within Teignbridge, Torbay & South Hams).
Families are responsible for paying for their own child’s expenses, such as admission costs, refreshments and public transport travel costs.

Discounts available for shifts lasting longer than 3 hours and for multiple members of staff.
